Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Holds or eligible for Illinois state licensure
- Accepting Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as well as ASHA-certified (CCC) professionals
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and educational staff
- Ability to adapt and individualize treatment plans for diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for school-aged children
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and provide support within IEP meetings
- Offer consultative strategies and support to teachers for classroom communication facilitation
- Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and special education requirements
