Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with elementary-aged students, is advantageous
- Familiarity with assessment tools, IEP writing, and therapeutic best practices
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and student evaluations
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-2 students
- Attend IEP meetings, collaborate with teachers and staff, and engage in family conferences as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with all school and state regulations
- Utilize allotted administrative time for paperwork, progress reports, and related documentation within the contracted hours
