Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Centralia, WA
Step into a rewarding, contract-based opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the full 26/27 school year. You’ll provide essential speech-language services in a dynamic K-12 educational setting just outside Centralia. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday through Thursday schedule, giving you three-day weekends for work-life balance.
Your primary focus will be delivering speech therapy to a caseload of approximately 45 students, working closely with a diverse student population and collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. The position begins as soon as possible, ensuring you can make an immediate and meaningful impact.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license (CFY or CCC)
- Previous experience in pediatric, healthcare, or school-based SLP settings preferred
- Deep understanding of K-12 student needs and IEP processes
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Enthusiasm for fostering student growth and engagement
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and manage IEPs, and provide direct therapy for students with various speech and language needs
- Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document all required records promptly
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other specialists for comprehensive care planning
- Attend IEP meetings and provide insightful recommendations for student success
- Adapt strategies and materials to support student inclusion in the classroom
