School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Florence, Arizona

This contract opportunity, based at a vibrant elementary school, offers you the chance to utilize your expertise as a speech-language pathologist (SLP-CCC) within a diverse and busy setting.
The school day runs from 8AM to 3PM (with early release on Wednesdays at 12:45PM), and you’ll have a full-time schedule supporting a caseload of 57 students, including 15 students receiving speech-language impairment (SLI) services only. You’ll also collaborate with a dedicated SLPA who is onsite twice a week, so teamwork, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to delegate effectively are essential.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Eligible for state licensure as a school-based SLP
- Demonstrated success managing large caseloads and prioritizing multiple needs
- Strong skills in organization, delegation, collaboration, and problem-solving
- Confidence in servicing students with a broad range of speech and language needs
- Previous experience in school settings is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services and comprehensive evaluations to a diverse student population
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and the SLPA to ensure integrated student support
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate regularly with families and contribute to a positive school community
