School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Casa Grande, Arizona
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across varied ages and needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-time opportunity offers a balanced week, working closely with children in both a K-8 setting and an Early Childhood Learning Center near Casa Grande, AZ.
Your week will be thoughtfully split, spending 40 hours in total: two days at a K-8 campus (approximately 40% of your time) and three days at a dedicated early childhood center (about 60%). In the K-8 environment, you'll manage a caseload of roughly 68 students, including children with complex medical and cognitive needs. At the early childhood site, your caseload will be streamlined at about 65 students, thanks to additional team support.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and valid state license or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Previous experience with school-aged children and/or early childhood populations preferred
- Comfort supporting medically fragile and MOID (Moderate Intellectual Disabilities) students
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students, including those with significant medical or intellectual needs
- Document progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families, educators, and other specialists
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as needed
