Ideal applicants will possess:

  • Active FL DOH SLP licensure (required)
  • Experience working with school-aged children in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings
  • Strong skills in administering speech and language therapy and conducting comprehensive evaluations
  • Ability to adapt to various school environments and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Organizational skills to manage caseloads across multiple sites
  • Compassion, patience, and a passion for helping students reach their full potential

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering direct speech-language services to students in grades K–12
  • Conducting assessments to determine students’ therapy needs and developing individualized plans accordingly
  • Consulting with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure integrated student support
  • Maintaining thorough records of services provided, evaluation outcomes, and progress notes
  • Traveling between allocated school locations as assigned (scheduling may be combined to create a full-time equivalent as desired)
  • Contributing to school initiatives, Individualized Education Programs (IEP), and student success strategies

Positions are available at several sites—including Palmetto Ridge High School, Pinecrest Elementary, Lake Trafford, Highlands Elementary, and Golden Terrace. Schedules can be tailored for full-time or blended part-time opportunities.
