Qualifications/Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active and current state licensure/certification as an SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings with PreK-12 students
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools, therapy techniques, and IEP documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with students, educators, and parents
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services for students with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom
- Conduct screenings and progress monitoring to evaluate student development and adjust interventions accordingly
- Maintain thorough records of evaluations, treatment plans, sessions, and student progress as per school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer guidance, education, and support to families and school personnel regarding strategies for effective communication
