Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Palmdale, California
Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant K-6 school setting. This full-time, contract role is ideal for professionals seeking hands-on experience with a supportive team and opportunities for contract renewal. The position begins in March and continues through the end of the school year, with options to extend into the summer and the following academic year.
Enjoy a focused work environment at a single school site, collaborating with two dedicated full-time therapists. Your schedule will range between 7:30–8:00 am to 2:45–3:45 pm, allowing you to balance impactful work and personal time while making the most of up to 40 hours per week. This on-site position offers an engaging mod-severe caseload, providing direct interventions and making a tangible difference in the lives of students.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or eligibility, including CFY and CCC credentials.
- Experience or interest in pediatrics, K-6 education, and school-based therapy.
- Background in healthcare or teletherapy is a plus.
- SLPA experience in healthcare settings welcomed.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic services for students with speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and families.
- Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to student success within a multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in professional meetings, maintain compliance, and support a positive learning environment.
