Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license in New York
- New York State teaching certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience providing speech and language services in educational environments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and family engagement
- Commitment to delivering inclusive, student-centered support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct formal and informal speech/language evaluations for students referred for assessment
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Deliver direct and indirect speech-language therapy services within the school setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to craft interventions and monitor progress
- Maintain thorough documentation and prepare required reports within established timelines
- Communicate progress and provide resources to caregivers, teachers, and staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of supportive educational plans
