Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Cedartown, GA
This contract position is for Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) providing essential services in an educational setting in Cedartown, GA. There are two distinct opportunities available, each with unique responsibilities and schedules.
SLP Position 1 – Compensatory Services (Travel Required)
- Deliver onsite speech-language pathology services across multiple school locations to address compensatory service requirements.
- Travel between sites is necessary to complete the approved compensatory service list.
- Manage a caseload that spans Pre-K through 12th grade.
- Provide summer services from June 1 through June 30.
SLP Position 2 – Elementary School Based
- Serve as the onsite SLP at one elementary school location.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45 to 55 students from Pre-K to 6th grade.
- Utilize the Paddynet platform for accurate and timely documentation of services.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Expertise in collaborating and communicating effectively with parents, teachers, staff, and administration through various channels including email, phone, progress reports, and school communication systems.
- Proficiency in coordinating schedules using Google Calendar to manage IEP meetings and parent conferences.
- Experience in conducting and documenting evaluations, eligibility determinations, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and data reviews.
- Credentials such as SLP, SLP-CCC, SLP in healthcare or pediatrics, and SLP clinical fellowship year (CFY) are beneficial.
