Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Buellton, CA
Step into a dynamic opportunity supporting students with speech and language needs in a rewarding school-based environment near Buellton and Solvang, CA. This contract position is designed for passionate speech-language pathologists who thrive in pediatric and school settings and are committed to making a positive difference. Enjoy the flexibility of working on-site or via teletherapy, with a manageable schedule of 8 hours per day, one day per week. Your expertise will play a vital role from your start date through June 4, 2027, empowering students’ growth throughout the academic cycle and beyond.
Key Qualifications:
- Current or in-progress CTC permit required (documentation of permit or process will be needed and permit fees are the applicant’s responsibility)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligibility
- Experience in school-based, healthcare, or pediatric SLP settings
- Skills in teletherapy and flexibility to adapt to virtual platforms if needed
- Knowledge of best practices supporting students’ diverse needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and intervention for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and other professionals to implement IEP goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school and state guidelines
- Offer consultation and guidance to teachers and support staff
- Participate in pre-academic and post-academic year services (total of 200 service days)
