Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Active state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary students
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans based on student needs
- Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in small groups
- Document progress and adjust therapy as needed for optimal student results
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff
- Engage families and caregivers in supporting students’ progress
- Maintain thorough records according to district, state, and federal guidelines
