Pediatric SLP in Brooklyn, NY
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in an ESY (Extended School Year) program near Brooklyn, NY! This six-week, contract-based role is tailored for Speech-Language Pathologists who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) and have a passion for making a difference in pediatric and school settings.
Your mornings (9 am to 12 pm) will be dedicated to providing high-quality therapy services to students during the summer session, focusing solely on direct therapy and maximizing student progress. The program runs from July 6th through August 14th, offering a structured, impactful experience with a dedicated caseload.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Previous experience working with children in schools or pediatric settings
- Active state licensure for New York
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience developing and implementing therapy plans within an educational framework
- Ability to collaborate with educators and related service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to meet student IEP goals
- Document and monitor student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Collaborate with school teams to ensure continuity of care and effective student support
- Maintain accurate records and submit required documentation on time
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding therapy outcomes
