What you’ll need:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- New York teaching certification
- Prior school-based experience specifically with complex, non-speaking, and non-verbal students (AAC, autism, cerebral palsy)
- Willingness to work onsite and manage a highly specialized caseload
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct speech-language therapy services to two high school students with complex communication needs (AAC devices, nonspeaking, intellectual and developmental disabilities)
- Potentially serving additional middle school students at a nearby campus
- Collaborating closely with 1:1 paraprofessionals, educators, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintaining accurate therapy documentation and adapting intervention plans
