A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school serving K-8 students. This contract role is to cover a leave and offers an engaging opportunity to support a diverse caseload in a dynamic educational environment located in Cambridge, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to K-8 students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student progress.
- Utilize Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices effectively in therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust services accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Must hold a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- DESE license and an active Massachusetts Speech-Language Pathologist license are required.
- Prior experience working with students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is essential.
- Proficiency in AAC device usage with demonstrated success in integrating technology into therapy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a school setting.
