Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Connecticut SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience in a school environment is highly valued
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapy planning skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
- Adaptability and resourcefulness in a diverse, dynamic setting
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language screenings, assessments, and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ unique needs and IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to support holistic student development
- Deliver engaging evidence-based therapy sessions, both individually and in group formats
- Maintain thorough documentation and update progress notes in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise for ongoing student support
- Offer consultation to teachers and staff for classroom accommodations and successful communication strategies
