School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Boston, Massachusetts
Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting high school students as a long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract role offers the chance to make a lasting difference within a single school site, from September 13, 2026, through February 5, 2027. Working closely with students and staff, you’ll provide essential speech and language services, helping students communicate effectively and achieve their academic goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid state licensure as an SLP, or eligibility to obtain required licensure
- Experience working with high school-aged students preferred
- Understanding of IEP documentation and compliance in a school environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering student potential and inclusivity
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students on a high school caseload
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and student progress tracking
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all school policies and state requirements
- Provide education and support to staff, parents, and students regarding communication strategies
