An exceptional opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC to serve a school-based caseload of students with high needs this Extended School Year. This contract position runs onsite from June 1–30, with June 19th observed as a holiday. Based in a welcoming community near Kansas City, this full-time role offers 30 hours each week, allowing you to provide crucial support in a focused, collaborative setting.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current Missouri SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with moderate to severe needs
- Competency in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and delivering individualized therapy
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside teachers, families, and support staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to elementary students with specialized, high-needs supports
- Assess, diagnose, and create individualized goals in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress monitoring throughout ESY session
- Collaborate with educational teams to integrate speech-language strategies in the classroom setting
- Support student participation and success in academic and social activities
