Certified Grades 9 - 12 Speech Pathology - Blackwell, OK
A full-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or SLP-CF position is available in Blackwell, OK, serving students from grades Pre-K through 12. This role focuses primarily on grades K-5, with an elementary caseload of about 50 students, mainly experiencing mild to moderate articulation and language needs. Most students receive speech services while included in general education classrooms, through a combination of pull-out and push-in support.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech and language therapy tailored to students’ individual needs
- Collaborating with teachers and educational staff to integrate speech goals within the general education setting
- Conducting assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring for assigned caseload
- Maintaining clear documentation and compliance with all relevant educational and healthcare regulations
- Participating in meetings and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) as required
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CF)
- Experience working in school settings, preferably with elementary-age students
- Knowledge of speech and language development, and intervention strategies for mild to moderate articulation and language disorders
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators and families to support student progress
Work hours are 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. The position offers an immediate start under a contract arrangement.
