An experienced Speech Language Pathologist is needed on a contract basis, working with PreK through 8th grade students. This full-time role runs from August through May and offers the stability of a school-year schedule with the unique challenges and fulfillment that come from serving a diverse student caseload.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid Speech Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Proven background or clinical experience in pediatric and school-based settings
- Familiarity with IEP processes and working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively engage and support students across broad age and developmental ranges
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive speech/language assessments
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs targeting communication, articulation, fluency, and language needs
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to optimize students’ academic and social outcomes
- Contribute to IEP meetings, progress reports, and detailed documentation
- Provide direct and consultative services, adapting interventions in classroom and pull-out settings as needed
