Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Professional Educator Certification
  • Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Strong preference for ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure
  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations regarding children with disabilities
  • Familiarity with pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development
  • Understanding of diagnostic instruments and terminology related to disabilities
  • Strong data analysis skills; ability to interpret policies and regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Effective verbal and written communication

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language services within school settings (assignment locations vary with need)
  • Assess and evaluate students to determine appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with state/federal guidelines
  • Support inclusive practices, advocacy, and family/staff education
