Key Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Valid Professional Educator Alabama SLP Certificate
- Prior experience working in school settings strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage an itinerant caseload effectively
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Reliable transportation to travel between assigned campuses
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services for students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support students' educational goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Maintain accurate records, evaluations, progress reports, and required documentation
- Help foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment
- Consult with multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes
