Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Alabama SLP certification (ABESPA and/or DOE; candidates with one cert can begin while securing the other)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience providing speech and language therapy within a school setting is highly desired
- Ability to manage and prioritize a caseload of students in 3rd–6th grades
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on supporting educational success
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students, targeting their IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, maintain up-to-date documentation, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student’s communication needs
- Serve as an onsite resource, offering consultation to staff and actively participating in IEP meetings
