Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Valid or eligible SLP licensure for Alabama public schools
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Creative, adaptable, and committed to evidence-based practices
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services for students PreK–12, in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, create reports, and collaborate on eligibility/placement decisions
- Participate in IEP meetings, serving as a subject matter expert and resource for staff and parents
- Develop individualized treatment plans and track student progress
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote a supportive learning environment
- Engage in professional development and stay current on best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation and legal compliance throughout the service process
