A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in a school located in Binghamton, NY. This role focuses on delivering specialized services to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, utilizing high-tech AAC devices to enhance communication outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students with diverse communication needs, emphasizing those with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Utilize and support high-tech AAC devices tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state regulations.
- Adapt therapy plans based on student progress and feedback.
Qualifications and Experience:
- New York State Speech-Language Pathology License is required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred.
- Previous experience working in school settings providing speech-language services, particularly with students on the autism spectrum.
- Strong knowledge of AAC technology and its application in therapy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
