School-Based SLP | New York, New York
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available for the 2025/2026 school year at a high school setting in New York, NY. This contract position begins ASAP, providing critical support to students aged 14-21 with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other genetic disorders.
Responsibilities include delivering 1:1 speech therapy services with a caseload of approximately 14-21 students. You will conduct around 55 therapy sessions per week, managing individualized treatment plans and working closely with students to improve their communication skills. The position requires working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, totaling 27.5 hours weekly.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for school settings
- Experience providing speech therapy services to students with ASD, Down Syndrome, CP, or similar conditions
- Ability to deliver individualized 1:1 speech-language services effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with interdisciplinary teams
