Pediatric School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Biddeford, Maine
Step into a dynamic contract role supporting student communication skills with an engaging grade 5 and 6 caseload in a well-respected, collaborative school environment. Two positions are available, providing you the opportunity to work with either upper elementary or pre-K/elementary students, utilizing an innovative 3:1 service delivery model—three weeks focused on direct instruction, followed by one week dedicated to evaluations. This assignment runs from August 31, 2026, through June 15, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours across five days. With a manageable caseload of 40-45 students, you'll have the chance to build meaningful relationships while enhancing student success.
Successful candidates bring:
• Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Maine
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship (CFY)
• Relevant experience in educational and/or pediatric settings
• Understanding of teletherapy tools and practices
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Adaptability and a commitment to student-centered care
Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering SLP services using the 3:1 model for instruction and evaluations
• Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Collecting and maintaining detailed student progress data
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and timely documentation
• Engaging in both onsite and teletherapy modalities as needed
