Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in preschool early intervention. In this contract opportunity, you'll deliver vital itinerant services to students across Carbon or Lehigh County. This position offers a meaningful experience working with diverse caseloads during the school year, with the flexibility to engage with students ranging from PreK through grade 12, depending on assignment needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license (required)
- Active Pennsylvania educator credential (Instructional I or II)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience delivering SLP services within a school setting, specifically in early intervention or school-age populations
- Commitment to in-person service delivery
- Willingness to work an itinerant schedule and adapt caseload as student needs shift
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language services for preschool and possibly school-age students as assigned
- Travel between educational sites within Carbon or Lehigh County to deliver evaluations, direct therapy, and consultations
- Complete all required documentation, progress reports, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive, individualized strategies focused on student progression
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines
Position Details:
- Full-time contract, 35 hours per week
- Assignment projected from July 6, 2026 through June 11, 2027, following an early intervention calendar
- Requires reliable transportation and flexibility for changing school year assignments
