Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Belfast, Maine
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students’ communication skills as a speech-language pathologist for the full 2026-2027 academic year. This is a full-time role working with a TK-8 student caseload of about 30 children, delivering vital speech-language services in a dynamic, educational environment.
Starting August 21, 2026, through June 9, 2027, you’ll collaborate with school teams and families to foster growth and progress across K-12 grade levels. Teletherapy options as well as in-person service delivery may be available, allowing flexibility in your approach.
Preferred Experience & Credentials:
- Current, valid SLP license in the state of Maine
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Exposure to school-based, healthcare, pediatric, or teletherapy SLP settings
- Candidates with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience welcome
- SLPA applicants considered with MA licensing and relevant school or healthcare backgrounds
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and write effective IEPs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to diverse K-12 students
- Conduct assessments, develop goals, and document progress for TK-8 caseload
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, families, and other school staff
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and adapt to students’ individual needs
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation
