Step into a dynamic school-based setting near Parkville in the Baltimore area, where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can make a lasting difference across diverse student populations. Multiple contract opportunities are available for credentialed SLPs (CCC required) in both full-time and part-time capacities, starting as soon as January 2026 and with the possibility to extend into the summer session. These roles provide opportunities to work in preschool, elementary, and middle school settings, with itinerant assignments and the chance to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active CCC-SLP
- Current Maryland professional licensure (documentation required)
- Experience providing speech therapy in educational settings, with knowledge of best practices for diverse age groups: preschool, elementary, and middle school
- Prior supervision of SLPAs, or willingness to oversee support staff
- Satisfactory completion of House Bill 486 district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to assigned caseloads in community pre-K and elementary schools, or at a middle school location
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), maintain accurate records, and measure student progress toward goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ communication needs
- Supervise and support SLPAs as needed (particularly at the secondary level)
- Participate in team meetings and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
