Speech Language Pathologist in Axton, VA

Desired Skills and Experience:
- Active SLP licensure and Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Experience with pediatric or school populations highly preferred
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms and tools
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat various speech/language, communication, and swallowing disorders
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and write required reports
- Develop and monitor IEP goals; maintain thorough records and data
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Offer direct and consultative services both in-person and via teletherapy as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary teams
- Stay current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based SLP services
