Step into a rewarding contract role serving a diverse group of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting near Aurora, Colorado. You'll play a pivotal part in maintaining continuity of care for elementary and PreK students while covering a medical leave, ensuring essential services continue smoothly during a colleague’s recovery. This position provides the opportunity to make a lasting impact, as you’ll also collaborate in providing compensatory services upon the ongoing SLP’s return.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings with elementary and early childhood populations
- Strong ability to manage a mild to moderate caseload at a single site, supporting approximately 40 students
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEP goals, providing direct therapy, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Eligible to work as a W2 employee; independent contractors (1099) cannot be considered for this role
- Availability for a full-time schedule through the winter break, with flexibility to assist with compensatory services as needed
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to elementary and select PreK students
- Assess communication needs, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Partner with families and educational staff to support student success and carry out compensatory interventions
- Contribute to a supportive, student-centered learning environment
