School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Auburn, Maine

Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure (or the ability to obtain prior to start)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting or with K-12th population preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with IEP process, progress monitoring, and reporting
What You’ll Do:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders among K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting speech, language, and communication goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings to discuss student needs and progress
- Provide guidance to teachers and staff on strategies to encourage student communication in the classroom
- Adapt therapy techniques to engage students of varying ages and abilities
