Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Atlanta, GA
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Douglasville area, just minutes west of Atlanta. This is a full-time, onsite position for the 2026-27 school year, offering the chance to make a significant impact as you help students enhance their communication and academic success. Both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and experienced SLPs holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Possession of, or eligibility for, state licensure to practice as an SLP
- Will consider a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate; CCC-SLP preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in school-aged children
- Excellent collaboration skills and a commitment to working within multidisciplinary educational teams
- Ability to provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions on site (virtual services are not included)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students across grade levels
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver direct therapeutic interventions and consultative services in the school environment
- Monitor progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, families, and other professionals to optimize student outcomes
- Provide support and education to caregivers and staff as needed
