School Speech Language Pathologist - Arvada, Colorado
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Arvada, CO as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time position runs through the end of the year, covering a medical leave for a valued SLP. You’ll have the chance to make a genuine impact on an elementary caseload and assist with compensatory services upon the primary SLP’s return.
Your role will include working at one school site, providing services for approximately 40 students, primarily elementary with some PreK students. The student population is mostly mild to moderate, making this an excellent environment to apply your expertise and experience.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) required
- Must be a licensed SLP (no CFs or SLPAs; candidates must be able to independently manage the caseload)
- Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and families professionally
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
What You'll Do:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students as outlined in IEPs
- Complete necessary progress reports, documentation, and participation in IEP meetings
- Coordinate with classroom teachers and parents to support student success
- Support compensatory services as needed upon the SLP’s return
- Maintain accurate records and demonstrate flexibility in supporting a dynamic elementary/PreK student group
