School Speech Language Pathologist - Denver, CO
Step into a dynamic educational setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in a vibrant Colorado community. This contract opportunity runs from late July 2026 through May 2027 and is ideal for those passionate about making a meaningful impact in young learners’ lives. The work is on-site, encompassing a year-long placement at an intensive pre-school classroom as well as an initial short-term leave coverage at a K–8 school.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure required
- Current Colorado Department of Education certification
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship (CF) eligible
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Experience with assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Preference for candidates with ELL training and/or ESL or Linguistically Diverse Education Endorsement
- Ability to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
- Prior experience in schools, especially with pre-school and K–8 students, is highly valued
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services and assess student progress in an intensive pre-school classroom for a full academic year
- Provide short-term LOA coverage for K–8 students, ensuring continuity of care
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Maintain accurate records, deliver direct and consultative services, and communicate regularly with educators and families
- Guide and mentor SLPAs as needed
This full-time role (37.5 hours per week) is a fantastic way to contribute expertise while enjoying the gratification of student growth and success over the course of a school year.
