This contract position is ideal for a bilingual professional (Spanish & English) eager to make a difference in a diverse educational community. Full-time hours are available, but part-time applicants are also welcome. The assignment spans the academic year, with a start date of September 29, 2026, and an end date of June 9, 2027. The workload averages about 45 students per the district's model, with a state cap of 60. Please note, this opportunity is fully on-site—virtual options are not available.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current IL Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Valid Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Bilingual—fluent in both Spanish and English
- Prior experience working in a school setting (middle school preferred)
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders for middle school students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and team conferences
- Provide support and training to staff and families on communication strategies
- Adapt services to meet needs across one or more school sites (caseload and site assignment to be confirmed)
