Key Qualifications:
- Holds an Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement and a current Illinois SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Proficient in both English and Spanish to effectively serve bilingual student populations
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred, specifically with middle school age groups
- Skilled in adapting to changing caseloads and working between school sites if needed
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for middle school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans tailored to students’ unique needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and participate in team-based decision making
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
