School Speech Language Pathologist - Arlington Heights, IL
Step into an impactful role supporting students as a School Speech Language Pathologist for a contract assignment running from September 4, 2026, to December 11, 2026. In this full-time position near the Arlington Heights area, your expertise will make a genuine difference for elementary and middle school learners. Work closely with educators and families to ensure every child’s voice is heard and supported.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Current, active Illinois SLP license (must have at time of application)
- Previous experience working within school settings, especially with diverse student populations
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday (no remote or teletherapy options)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary and middle school
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with staff and families
- Maintain ongoing progress notes and data collection for each student
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions
- Serve as a communication resource and consultant to teachers and parents
