School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Arlington Heights, Illinois
Step into a rewarding opportunity serving young learners as a speech-language pathologist in a contract, onsite position supporting K-2 students with special needs. This part-time role, located near Arlington Heights, IL, offers the chance to make a significant impact through dedicated, direct work with a small caseload in a supportive school environment.
For the 2026-2027 school year, this position involves working 7 hours per week with a caseload of just nine students. Orientation for new hires is scheduled from August 12th to August 14th, setting the stage for a smooth transition into your responsibilities. A strong Clinical Fellow (CF) will be considered, making this a great step for early-career SLPs, as well as those with their CCCs. This contract position is onsite only, allowing you to actively collaborate with fellow educators and therapists.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current and active Illinois SLP license (please include a screenshot with your application)
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- School-based SLP experience is a plus, but a strong clinical fellowship candidate can also be considered
- Commitment to serving K-2 students with diverse speech and language needs
- Ability to work onsite each week as part of a multidisciplinary educational team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of nine K-2 students
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Document sessions and progress as required by state and district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing student support planning
