An exciting opportunity is available for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to support young learners in a supportive school environment near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract position focuses on providing specialized speech and language services for a K-2 caseload, working directly on-site with students who benefit from early intervention and individualized support.
Your expertise will empower children to strengthen their communication skills and succeed in their academic journey. Candidates with strong CF experience are encouraged to apply, as well as those with the SLP-CCC credential. Orientation for new hires will occur from August 12-14, with the position tentatively starting for the 2026-27 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Current active Illinois SLP license and PEL (Proof required; please include screenshot when applying)
- Eligibility to work on-site; remote or hybrid not available
- SLP-CCC or strong Clinical Fellow applications considered
- Experience in K-2 or early childhood special education preferred
- Passion for supporting and engaging young learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a caseload of 9 K-2 students
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans, and document progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Participate in New Hire Orientation (August 12-14) and stay current with best practices
