Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a specialized educational setting. This part-time assignment focuses on students in kindergarten through second grade, providing critical services to a small caseload of nine. The role is onsite, allowing you to build meaningful, in-person relationships with students and staff throughout the tentative 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license (active status required)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois (please provide a screenshot with your application)
- Experience working in schools, with SLP-CCC or a strong Clinical Fellow (CF) encouraged to apply
- Ability to support a diverse K-2 caseload with compassion, creativity, and best practice methodologies
- Commitment to onsite services only
- Available for new hire orientation from August 12th to August 14th
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective speech-language interventions for a caseload of nine K-2 students
- Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, and support staff to enhance student communication and learning
- Complete assessments, documentation, and reporting as required by the district
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals
- Engage in ongoing communication with families and participate in IEP meetings
