What You’ll Bring:
- Valid Illinois SLP license and PEL (Professional Educator License)
- Experience or training in school-based or pediatric speech-language therapy (SLP-CCC preferred, but strong Clinical Fellows will be considered)
- Commitment to student-centered, evidence-based practice
- Collaborative mindset for working with teachers and specialists
- Comfort working onsite, providing direct support to students
- Ability to attend new hire orientation August 12th-14th and work a 26-27 week schedule
- Skill in supporting young learners with IEPs and diverse communication needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy for K-2 students in a specialized learning environment
- Manage a caseload of 9 students, focusing on age-appropriate interventions
- Complete evaluations and progress reports as required by IEPs and school guidelines
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized student plans
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
