This contract position based in Elgin, IL offers a full-time opportunity working 37.5 hours per week from ASAP through May 21, 2026, serving two schools—a middle school and a high school. The role focuses on supporting students with speech and language needs to ensure their full participation in classroom activities.
Key responsibilities include assessing and supporting students’ fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care skills. You will modify tasks or environments to meet individual needs, perform diagnostic evaluations, and deliver detailed reports based on assessments and observations. Additionally, you will develop and maintain IEP goals and accommodations, and collaborate effectively with parents and educational teams to discuss developmental progress and support strategies.
Qualifications for this role require possession or eligibility for an Illinois state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team are essential. Flexibility and problem-solving skills will support success in this dynamic setting.
This role offers a range of benefits, including paid orientation and a stable, full-time schedule with competitive pay between $45 and $55 per hour based on experience.
