Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Apalachicola, Florida
Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students in grades 6–12 as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in Florida (SLP FL)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates considered
- Previous experience in pediatric, school-based, or adolescent settings is highly desirable
- Proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a range of speech, language, and communication disorders
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and intervention for students in grades 6–12
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom experience
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Maintain thorough and accurate student records and data for progress monitoring and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary planning
- Offer guidance and support for students transitioning between grades and into post-secondary environments
