Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license (Maryland or eligible for reciprocity)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY candidates considered
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to create and implement individualized treatment plans
- Comfort working with diverse student populations across age groups
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver therapy services through individual, small group, and consultative models
- Monitor student progress and maintain comprehensive records
- Engage with teachers, families, and staff to facilitate generalization of skills into the classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and placement decisions
- Keep current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in school-based speech therapy
