School Speech Pathology | Minneapolis, Minnesota
This contract position offers a unique opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide onsite support across multiple elementary and middle school locations in Minneapolis, MN. The role involves covering maternity leaves with flexible start and end dates depending on the duration of each leave. The workweek is Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours, delivering therapy services within a 3:1 service model—three weeks of direct therapy followed by one week of indirect support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing speech therapy to students, primarily focusing on direct service with a distinct separation from evaluation duties
- Working with typical elementary caseloads, including students in Setting III CDC
- Covering multiple schools, including locations in Brooklyn Center and Blaine
- Supporting a 3:1 service delivery model ensuring consistency and quality of care during maternity leave coverage
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with CCC preferred
- License valid to practice in Minnesota
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Ability to manage a caseload that includes a range of speech and language needs
- Flexibility to cover multiple school sites and adapt to varying schedules dependent on leave dates
