As a valued team member in the elementary school setting, you will provide essential speech and language services to students in kindergarten through fifth grade, with moderate disabilities. Your days will include facilitating 9 therapy sessions, taking a lunch break, and enjoying two dedicated planning periods—ensuring you have the resources and time needed to prepare engaging, effective sessions.
Desired Experience & Credentials:
- Valid or eligible New York State Speech-Language Pathologist license
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow candidates are welcome
- Experience with school-aged children or familiarity with school-based intervention
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities for completing session documentation
- Compassionate, collaborative approach with students and school staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group therapy aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Complete all required service documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families
- Utilize creative, evidence-based strategies to support student progress
