Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time hours, with flexibility to accommodate patient needs and facility requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license (CA)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Recent clinical experience—preferably in a hospital or skilled nursing setting
- Familiarity with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of communication and swallowing disorders in a subacute/skilled nursing population
- Develop and carry out individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Accurately document evaluations, progress, and patient outcomes
- Work closely with nurses, physicians, occupational and physical therapists to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate patients, families, and staff on care strategies, progress, and safety
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
