Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments utilizing standardized tools and evidence-based practices
- Develop, adjust, and document individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions accordingly
- Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
- Communicate patient progress and treatment barriers with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams
- Document all treatment records accurately within electronic systems, adhering to clinical and regulatory policies
- Participate actively in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility meetings
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies as needed per clinical standards
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians or student Speech-Language Pathologists
- Maintain adherence to ASHA and state licensure requirements, codes of conduct, and ethics
Qualifications
- Active ASHA certification and current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience in hospital or clinical rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
