Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments utilizing standardized tools and evidence-based practices
  • Develop, adjust, and document individualized treatment plans based on patient progress and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions accordingly
  • Provide counseling and consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers
  • Communicate patient progress and treatment barriers with supervisors and interdisciplinary teams
  • Document all treatment records accurately within electronic systems, adhering to clinical and regulatory policies
  • Participate actively in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility meetings
  • Obtain necessary durable medical equipment and supplies as needed per clinical standards
  • Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians or student Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Maintain adherence to ASHA and state licensure requirements, codes of conduct, and ethics

Qualifications

  • Active ASHA certification and current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience in hospital or clinical rehabilitation settings preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to evidence-based therapeutic approaches
