Schedule:
- Wednesday through Saturday
- 10-hour shifts, typically 7:45 am – 6:15 pm (start time negotiable)
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Valid BLS certification
- Experience with inpatient rehabilitation and adult acute care
- Skilled in adult assessments, including bedside swallow or BIM evaluation
- Strong documentation abilities
- Independent, proactive work style with excellent communication
- Experience with Cerner and Epic electronic health record systems a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized speech-language pathology treatment plans for adults
- Conduct comprehensive communication and swallowing assessments in a hospital environment
- Document patient progress and update care plans as needed, maintaining robust, compliant records
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide clear instruction and support to patients and families, facilitating education and ongoing rehabilitation
